Ludwig 4pc Standard Vintage Drumset w/Paiste-Avocado Strata  From Ludwig

The Ludwig Standard Series was introduced in 1968 as an affordable option to the Ludwig family. The shell construction introduced the Granitone interiors to help differentiate the lines. 

This consignment item stands true to the novice level line that Ludwig intended. For the most part,  the set is in overall good condition given its age. Over the years, as a young player will experiment, some parts were taken off to find and explore better sounds but were not put back together and are not included with this package. Items of note are tension rods, 4 claws and t-handles for the bass drum, and a hoop for the floor tom. 

Included as well, are the original stands(missing rubber feet), pedal, and cymbals that were bought at the time. The Paiste cymbals included are the 14" hi-hats and 18" medium ride. The ride cymbal has some slight keyholing and can be mounted on the bass drum cymbal mount which is also included with this ensemble. 

As a project or player set, this item can be restored to most its original glory with some polish and love. As it sits, the chrome shows some light pitting and light rust, but through our testing, we were able to remove portions of it with relative ease. The Avacado Strata wrap will also fair well with a proper buffing and some light gluing as some of the seams and inlays have lifted over years.
