Condition: Used, Excellent
SP Luthier Notes: A majority of frets showed evidence of play wear. As such, the frets were leveled, recrowned, and polished back to a near mint state. The guitar required an adjustment to the truss rod, nut, and bridge to be brought to a perfect level of playability. No further work was required.
A meticulously constructed, official, modern recreation of one of rock 'n' roll's most storied instruments, the BMG Super is the result of an all-star collaboration between Sir Brian May, his long-term guitar tech Pete Malandrone, House Music MD Barry Moorhouse, and a team of 'Red Specialists' from around the world.
With the minimum of compromise, the Super conforms to the original's dimensions and technical appointments in almost every regard. The distinctive body shape, headstock, scale length, fingerboard radius, binding, pickguards, pickup surrounds, roller bridge, tremolo assembly, control knobs and electronics have all been all faithfully rendered... as well as the famous, magnificently broad neck profile.
After a long hiatus, production in the Czech Republic is ongoing on a brand new iteration of this spectacular guitar featuring our new, British built, BM-approved, period accurate 'Super' pickups as well as numerous other enhancements, with availability remaining exclusive to customers registered on our official waiting list.
