Sound Pure's Take
The Eastman MD505 is a classic A-style mandolin that delivers impressive punch, clarity, and projection while staying true to traditional mandolin design. Its solid spruce top and solid maple back and sides create a bright, articulate voice with excellent note separation and the quick response players look for in a versatile acoustic mandolin. The F-hole construction provides strong projection and focused mids, making it equally at home in bluegrass jams, folk ensembles, or solo playing. Finished in high-gloss lacquer with tasteful ivoroid binding and pearl appointments, it offers a timeless look to match its lively sound. Responsive, balanced, and full of character, the MD505 is a mandolin that performs well beyond its price point.
