The toms have thin 6 ply maple shells without reinforcing rings and sing with a long and smooth decay. The floor toms have a 7 ply maple shell and the bass drum has an 8 ply shell with all plies less than 1/4" thick providing a tremendous amount of sustain. The Macassar Ebony horizontal veneer is finished in an oil finish which accentuates the dark rich grain patterns while also allowing the drums to resonate at their maximum potential. The set is outfitted with Remo Coated Ambassadors for batter heads, Remo Clear Ambassadors for resonant heads, and Remo Powerstroke 3's for the bass drum.
