Sound Pure's Take

This wood has bite in the best possible way. I've always love spruce/mahogany OM guitars and this is the pick of the litter. What you get is extreme. Clarity and versatility. You can get different sorts of character boy altering you're attack, whether with fingers or pick. You can go from bell-like clarity to close-fisted punch in a millisecond. The top has beautiful luster and the Honduran back and sides are light and highly appetizing. The koa rosette is tasteful and all in-keeping with the other appointments. This guitar looks, plays, and sounds so natural you'll feel like you've owned it your whole life!

A handmade one-of-a-kind beauty that typifies the craftsmanship you get from any Wes Lambe guitar, the Adirondack/Mahogany OM Acoustic Guitar from Wes Lambe is a stunner. Not only are we proud to support a local luthier, but also even more proud to present a fantastic guitar, that exhibits the kind of craftsmanship that deserves noting. The OM has an Adirondack top, and the Honduran Mahogany on the back and sides is a much lighter Mahogany than usually seen, and not only gives this guitar a unique look but a unique tone as well. To say that this Acoustic Guitar from Wes Lambe can do it all is probably understatement, ranging from ringing clarity to in-your-face punch at the drop of a hat, there is little you can't do on this Acoustic. Thanks to Robinson Earle for his playing on this video. From Wes Lambe Guitars

Not only are my instruments crafted with my experiences as a professional instrument builder, and my experience running and owning various repair shops, but my designs also incorporate my experiences as a performing musician, and as player for over 20 years.  My instruments incorporate many of the latest techniques and materials, while still being voiced, honed, and shaped in the handcrafted -time honored tradition - of the master guitar makers of generations past.

I incorporate carbon fiber reinforcement and modern Epoxies  where necessary for reliability and stability. I also use modern CNC technology where absolute digital precision is needed. Fanned-fret ®* fretboards are slotted, brass tailpieces are machined, complex inlays and neck joints are routed, etc. with unmatched precision.

In other areas where "tone" and "feel"  are the objective, I employ the use of more traditional techniques. Hot hide glue is used for all bracing, acoustic bridges, and neck joints. This all natural glue has been used by makers of the finest musical instruments for centuries, for its resistance to "creep, and superior acoustic properties.  Archtop plates are graduated and voiced using finger planes and scrapers. Fingerboards are leveled with hand planes.  Braces are shaped, comfort contours are carved, and plates voiced using knives, gouges and chisels.  All of my necks are individually carved using rasps, files, scrapers and lots of hand sanding.
