Sound Pure's Take

At 14 1/2" at the lower bout and with a depth of only 2 1/4", this Bambino Deluxe is a streamlined, comfortable player. This is one of the most comfortable bodies around without losing the feel and sound of a true archtop. The added sound holes and binding make this Deluxe the best looking Bambino we've ever had at the shop. Simple, but elegant, this guitar is inviting and extremely easy to play. The neck is amazing and it rests in your hand perfectly whether you're sitting or standing. 

Even with it's more modern streamlined design, this Bambino Deluxe has a surpisingly large acoustic sound with a deep, rounded tone. Plugged in, the Benedetto A6 humbucker sounds warm and full, and has plenty of clarity. The superior playability of this guitar almost defiantly invites you to play fast torrents of single lines, and the pickups are able to reproduce every tonal detail and nuance of phrasing and technique. Don't forget, though, this humbucker has a coil-tap function and can achieve clean, crisp single coil tones by pulling the tone knob.

This is a Bambino with a Jazz Attitude. This deluxe version maintains the dimensional specifications of the Bambino model but adds modern sound holes, a flamed maple veneer top, gold hardware, and a deluxe binding package (w/b/w/b/w) to the body, neck and headstock. The sound holes enhance the acoustic volume to the unplugged instrument and give the guitar a more traditional archtop look with only a single pickup place in the rhythm position.
